Specify the 1557BGY when you need the compact 1557B footprint in light gray. This RAL7035 grey general purpose ABS enclosure measures 3.15 in x 3.15 in x 1.77 in (80 mm x 80 mm x 45 mm) and is designed around mounting a small printed circuit board for indoor electronics, controls and interface work.
The lid seals with two piece tongue and groove construction and a one piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket against oil, dust and water; the ABS body has been tested to and meets IP66. Four included M4 stainless steel machine screws engage corrosion resistant bushings, which lets technicians open the enclosure repeatedly for service. Recommended cover screw torque is 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m).
The drawing shows an inside length of 71.30 mm [2.81 in], inside width of 71.02 mm [2.80 in] and inside height of 38.80 mm [1.53 in], and the maximum PC board is 70.64 mm square. Board bosses accept #6 self-tapping screws.
Supplied with the 1557BGY are four rubber feet, two wall mount feet and two wall mount foot screws, giving a choice of tabletop, flush wall (keyhole) or heavy duty wall flange installation. The ABS material carries UL94 HB flammability and an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021, and the recommended operating range is -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F) for indoor use; it is not UL listed. Shipping weight is 0.25 lbs (0.11 kg).
