Hammond 1556EPL 145x102mm Aluminum Inner Panel for 1556E Enclosures

The 1556EPL is the aluminum inner panel for the 1556E enclosure size, a flat 145 x 102 x 2 mm (5.7 x 4 x 0.08 in) plate that gives OEM engineers and panel builders a removable surface for mounting circuit boards, terminal blocks or small modules inside a 160 x 120 mm 1556 enclosure.

According to the series ordering table, the 1556EPL fits both the 45 mm tall 1556EBK, 1556EGY, 1556EWH and the 70 mm tall 1556EABK, 1556EAGY, 1556EAWH enclosures, so one panel covers either height and every color in the 1556E footprint.

The drawing gives overall dimensions of 145.00 mm [5.71 in] x 102.00 mm [4.02 in] with a thickness of 2.05 mm [0.08 in], a 2.00 x 45.0 degree chamfer and R8.00 mm [R0.31 in] corners. The part page lists the colour as natural aluminum and a shipping weight of 0.17 lbs (0.08 kg); the panel ships in shrink wrap.

The 1556 Series specification sheet notes that multiple mounting locations inside the lid and base of the enclosure allow easy PC board mounting or use with the aluminum panels, which are sold separately as accessories.
