Hammond 1556CWH 120x80x45mm White IP54 Abs Wall/Desktop Enclosure

The 1556CWH is a white flame-retardant ABS enclosure from the Hammond 1556 Series of modern general purpose enclosures, built in the low-profile 120 x 80 mm footprint of the 1556 Series, with a 45 mm total height. It is designed for mounting printed circuit boards, IoT equipment and other small electronics, and can sit on a desk or tabletop or be mounted on a wall, making it a practical choice for OEM engineers, integrators and electronics designers housing a small indoor device.

At 120 x 80 x 45 mm outside, it gives an inside length of 114.18 mm, inside width of 74.18 mm and inside height of 40.00 mm, and accepts a printed circuit board up to 111 x 71 mm. That makes it a compact home for a small controller, sensor interface or IoT node where desk or wall space is limited.

The box and lid are molded from flame-retardant ABS (FRABS) rated UL94 V-0, finished in white with a light satin texture and shaped with rounded corners and face. Lap joint construction between lid and base protects against dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54. It is intended for indoor use; the series is not designed for outdoor use. Multiple mounting locations inside the lid and base accept #6 self-tapping PCB screws or an optional aluminum inner panel (1556CPL, sold separately).

Each 1556CWH ships with the box, lid, 4 cover screws and 4 rubber feet for tabletop use. The lid is secured with high strength #6 x 1/2" self-tapping Plastite screws; recommended cover screw torque is 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m) and PCB screw torque 42-56 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). For wall installation, the white wall mount foot kit 1556FOOTWH-4 (pack of 4, sold separately) supports either a heavy duty wall flange mount or a flush keyhole-style wall mount, and the feet accept #8 self-tapping screws.
