The 1555UF17GY is the low-profile general purpose ABS enclosure in the U size of the 1555F Series. Its rectangular flanged base suits indoor controls, instrument boards and DIN rail components where a sealed, wall-mountable housing is needed and outdoor UV resistance or a UL listing is not.
The body is 7.87 x 4.72 x 1.57 in (200 x 120 x 40 mm) not including flanges. Per the drawing, overall length with flanges is 240.00 mm [9.45 in], flange hole spacing 218.00 mm [8.58 in], assembled height 40.20 mm [1.58 in], inner box depth 17.00 mm [.67 in] and inner lid depth 14.50 mm [.57 in]. The part page gives a maximum P.C. board size of 189 x 107 mm and a shipping weight of 0.65 lbs (0.29 kg).
The part page lists ABS plastic, light gray, IP66 and UL94 HB. ABS versions are for indoor use, are not UL listed, carry an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and are recommended for -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F).
The satin RAL7035 grey lid includes a smooth recessed area for a membrane keypad or label. A two-piece tongue and groove seal and one-piece silicone gasket, supplied loose, protect against oil, dust and water, and M4 stainless steel lid screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts behind the lid. The 1555UFPL steel inner panel is available separately.
