Hammond 1554YCL 299x240mm Clear Polycarbonate Replacement Lid, Y Size

The 1554YCL is a clear polycarbonate replacement lid for Hammond 1554 and 1555 series enclosures in size Y. It measures 299 x 240 x 25 mm (11.78 in x 9.43 in x 0.98 in), and fits the 1554Y, 1555Y bases. Maintenance teams, panel builders and OEMs use it to replace a damaged lid or to convert a solid-lid enclosure into one where displays, LEDs or labels stay visible.

The lid is molded from polycarbonate that is UV stabilized for outdoor use, and clear lids carry a UL94V-0 rating. When installed properly with screws and gasket, the lid is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, which meet and exceed IP ratings up to and including IP68. The recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F); customers should do their own testing to confirm suitability for a specific application.

This 299 x 240 mm lid is 25 mm high and fits the Y size only; the deeper YA size takes the 50 mm 1554YACL.

Replacement lids do not include screws or gaskets, so reuse the existing hardware or order compatible accessories listed on the 1554 or 1555 series pages. On a 1555 base the clear lid works but is not styled like the standard 1555 lid. Some chemicals can damage or weaken plastic, so check the manufacturer's Chemical Resistance Statement before cleaning or sealing. The 1554YCL is RoHS and REACH compliant and has a shipping weight of 1.1 lbs (0.50 kg).
