Hammond 1554YACL 299x240mm Deep 50mm Clear Polycarbonate Lid

The 1554YACL is a clear polycarbonate replacement lid for Hammond 1554 and 1555 series enclosures in size YA. It measures 299 x 240 x 50 mm (11.78 in x 9.43 in x 1.96 in), and fits the 1554YA, 1555YA bases. Maintenance teams, panel builders and OEMs use it to replace a damaged lid or to convert a solid-lid enclosure into one where displays, LEDs or labels stay visible.

The lid is molded from polycarbonate that is UV stabilized for outdoor use, and clear lids carry a UL94V-0 rating. When installed properly with screws and gasket, the lid is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, which meet and exceed IP ratings up to and including IP68. The recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F); customers should do their own testing to confirm suitability for a specific application.

At 299 x 240 x 50 mm and 1.53 lbs (0.69 kg), the 1554YACL is the largest and heaviest lid in the range. It fits only the YA size; the Y size uses the 25 mm high 1554YCL.

Replacement lids do not include screws or gaskets, so reuse the existing hardware or order compatible accessories listed on the 1554 or 1555 series pages. On a 1555 base the clear lid works but is not styled like the standard 1555 lid. Some chemicals can damage or weaken plastic, so check the manufacturer's Chemical Resistance Statement before cleaning or sealing. The 1554YACL is RoHS and REACH compliant and has a shipping weight of 1.53 lbs (0.69 kg).
