The 1554S2GY is a deep, square 1554 Series enclosure molded entirely in RAL 7035 light gray polycarbonate. Nominally 160 x 160 x 90 mm (6.3 x 6.3 x 3.5 in), with a total height of 91 mm in the ordering table, it gives electrical contractors and OEM engineers room for taller components, DIN rail devices or stacked PC boards in outdoor and washdown locations.
The solid gray polycarbonate carries a UL94 5VA rating (5VA @ 3 mm on the drawing), is UV stabilized for outdoor use and is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324. The part page lists IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13; the series adds IP66/IP67 test results, IK08 impact resistance per IEC 62262:2021 and a -40°C to +110°C recommended operating range.
The drawing gives 84.00 mm (3.31 in) of inside height and 152.13 mm (5.99 in) of inside length, with a maximum PC board of 147.4 x 150.95 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs, M3 brass inserts or standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws, and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards are built in; the 1554RPL steel inner panel is ordered separately.
The purchased assembly includes the box, lid, four cover screws and a preformed silicone gasket. The gasket ships loose, and the four M4 stainless steel lid screws are self-captivating and seat in corrosion resistant inserts; recommended cover screw torque is 43-57 oz f-in (30-40 cN-m). Wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also accept the 1554FT foot kit. The 1554S2GY ships shrink wrapped at 0.98 lbs (0.44 kg).
