Hammond 1554MPB6 6-Hole 22.5mm Polycarbonate Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1554MPB6 is a six-hole polycarbonate pushbutton enclosure for 22.5 mm operators, sized for multi-function local control stations. It is used by machine builders and facility electricians who need six push buttons, pilot lights or selectors in one sealed housing. The 30.5 mm version is the 1554PB6.

Built on the 1554V enclosure, it measures 9.45 in H x 6.30 in W x 3.54 in D with lid (240 x 160 x 90 mm); the part page lists a nominal 9.5 x 6.3 x 3.5 in. Four Ø4.00 mm mounting holes sit outside the gasket seal, and shipping weight is 1.3 lbs (0.59 kg).

The light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate carries a UL94 5VA rating and is suitable for outdoor use. Self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into integral stainless steel bushings; the recommended cover screw torque for this size is 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m). The preformed high temperature silicone gasket is replaceable. Inside are DIN rail mounting tabs, M3 brass inserts and standoffs for M3.5 or #6 self tapping screws, and card guides for 1.5 mm PC boards.

Rating note: the series is IP66 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, but 6 pushbutton enclosures do not meet Type 6/6P; the 1554MPB6 drawing shows cUL US Listing (E65324) for Type 4 and 4X, and the polycarbonate version is UL 508A approved. It ships with box, lid, 4 cover screws and gasket, accepts the optional 1554VPL inner panel (9.10 x 5.70 in) and 1554FT feet, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
