The 1554J2GYSL is a 160 x 90 x 61 mm polycarbonate enclosure with a light gray RAL 7035 box and a smoked lid. The tinted cover gives a partial view of indicators and displays inside while keeping a darker, more finished appearance for customer-facing or outdoor equipment.
Smoked lids in the 1554 Series are rated UL94V-0. The enclosure is cUL and UL 508A listed (file #E65324), UV stabilized for outdoor use and independently tested to IP66, IP67, IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. Polycarbonate versions carry an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and a recommended operating temperature of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
Internally the box provides about 152.91 x 77.00 x 54.50 mm and a maximum PC board size of 77.47 x 147.32 mm. DIN rail tabs, M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical guides for 1.5 mm thick boards are molded in. The 1554JPL steel inner panel is ordered separately.
Four self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws secure the gasketed tongue and groove lid into corrosion resistant bushings, and lid holes thread on first installation. The silicone gasket ships loose; 1554JGASKET is the replacement. The 1554J2GYSL ships shrink wrapped at 0.53 lbs (0.24 kg).
