The 1554BGY is the general purpose ABS model of the square 1554B enclosure, listed at 2.6 in x 2.6 in x 1.6 in (66 mm x 66 mm x 41 mm) and nominally 65 x 65 x 41 mm. It is a cost-conscious choice for indoor electronics, small controls and terminations where a gasketed, screw-cover box is wanted.
The body is light gray RAL 7035 ABS rated UL94 HB. ABS versions are for indoor use; they are not UL listed but have been tested to and meet IP66. The impact rating is IK07 per IEC 62262:2021 and the recommended operating temperature is -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F).
Inside, the drawing shows 58.44 mm x 58.44 mm with 34.50 mm inside height, and the maximum P.C. board is 55.45 mm x 55.96 mm. Posts accept #6 self-tapping screws, and the 1554BPL steel inner panel is available separately. Internal DIN rail mounting tabs are molded into all sizes except C and D.
Four included M4 stainless steel lid screws are self-captivating and thread into corrosion resistant bushings (43-57 ozf-in / 30-40 cN-m recommended). The one-piece silicone gasket ships loose. Two 4.00 mm mounting holes outside the gasket channel also accept the 1554FT foot kit. The 1554BGY ships in shrink wrap at 0.17 lbs (0.08 kg).
