The 1553DYLBKBAT combines the bright yellow D-size 1553 hand held enclosure with a battery door and compartment. The yellow ABS body and black soft side overmold make a brightly colored, comfortable housing for battery powered handheld electronics.
Outside, it measures 5.79 x 3.50 x 0.98 in (147 x 89 x 25 mm). With the battery compartment in place, the ordering table gives a maximum P.C. board of 4.21 x 2.91 in (107 x 74 mm). The drawing shows an inner box length of 140.24 mm, inner box height of 19.50 mm, and an inner width of 80.98 mm at the center and 68.93 mm at the end.
Power comes from the included battery clips: 4x clips for 2x AA batteries and 1x 9 volt (PP3) battery clip, with a 9V adapter supplied. Extra clip kits are listed as 1553HDR-BKIT for AA and BS61 for 9V. The top cover is recessed for a membrane display or keypad, and molded PC board standoffs locate the board on the PCB bosses.
The 1553DYLBKBAT assembly includes the top, bottom, front plastic panel, battery door, battery spring clips (4 pcs), 9V adapter (1 pc) and 4 cover screws; the P.C. board is not supplied. Use 1593QS100BK for replacement lid screws and tighten to 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). It has a UL94 HB flame rating, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships shrink wrapped at 0.26 lbs (0.12 kg).
