Hammond 1552CPGKITBK Size C Rubberized Cable Gland Kit, 2-6 mm, Black

The 1552CPGKITBK is the black rubberized cable gland kit for size "C" enclosures in the 1552 hand-held ABS enclosure series (1552C1, 1552C3 and 1552C5, 22 mm deep). It replaces the standard end panel and fits securely into the enclosure, so a hand-held controller or sensor built in a 1552 enclosure can have a cable entering through a rubberized cord grip.

The gland accepts cable from 2 mm to 6 mm outer diameter. The tie-down can be oriented two ways: option 1 for 6 mm to 3 mm cable, option 2 for 3 mm to 2 mm cable. After lightly tightening the supplied screws, the tie-down slides toward the gland to clamp the wire, and the screws are then torqued to 20-25 cN-m [28-35 ozf-in]. The bottom half of the enclosure is then installed at the recommended 15-20 cN-m [21-28 ozf-in]. The instructions call for 1553WTS100 #2 x 3/16" Plastite self-tapping screws (not supplied) when installing components into the lid.
