The 1551WHGASKET is a 2-pack of replacement silicone gaskets for the 1551W series of watertight polycarbonate miniature enclosures. In the series ordering table it is the replacement gasket for the 1551WH size: enclosures 1551WHBK and 1551WHGY (without flange) and 1551WHFLBK and 1551WHFLGY (with flange), which measure 60 mm long (not including flange), 35 mm wide and 22 mm deep including the lid.
Maintenance technicians, OEM service teams and field electricians keep spare gaskets on hand because the gasket is what protects a 1551W enclosure against ingress of water or dust. The series is designed to meet IP68 and is suitable for outdoor use, and the replaceable silicone gasket is part of that design; this accessory is itself listed with an IP68 rating.
Each gasket measures 2.28 in x 1.26 in x 0.05 in (58 mm x 32 mm x 1 mm) and is made of silicone. The two gaskets are supplied in a bag. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant and falls under UNSPSC 39121301.
When refitting a lid, the cover screws for the 1551WH enclosures are #4 Plastite self-tapping screws with a recommended torque of (71-100) Ozf.in / (50-70) cN.m; stainless steel replacement cover screws are available as SC509-50 (pack of 50). Other 1551W sizes use their own gasket part numbers, so match the gasket to the enclosure size before ordering 1551WHGASKET.
