Hammond 1551V3WH 60mm Square Vented ABS Sensor Enclosure, White

The 1551V3WH is a vented, snap-fit miniature enclosure moulded in white ABS plastic, with a 60 x 60 mm square footprint, 20 mm (0.79 in) deep. It belongs to the 1551SNAP family of IoT and general-purpose enclosures, and the vented design keeps fingers and tools away from the electronics while letting air and moisture reach components that need environmental exposure, such as sensors. Integrators, OEM engineers and facilities teams use it to house small printed circuit boards at sensing points on walls.

Overall size is 2.36 in x 2.36 in x 0.79 in (60 mm x 60 mm x 20 mm). Inside, four PC board standoffs are moulded into the base and accept #2 self-tapping screws; the maximum board size is 54 mm x 52.9 mm (board not supplied). Screws are not included; Hammond specifies #2 x 3/16" (4.8 mm) Plastite self-tapping screws, part number 1553WTS100 (pack of 100), with a recommended torque of (35-43) Ozf.in / (25-30) cN.m.

The purchased assembly is a snap-together base and cover, so no hardware is needed to close it and it can be reopened repeatedly for service. Slots in the base allow wall mounting, and a knockout in the base can be removed with a screwdriver to create a cable entry. Square and rectangle models, including this one, also have assembly hooks on the base.

The material carries a UL94 HB flame rating, the enclosure is designed to meet IP30, and the part is listed as RoHS and REACH compliant.
