Hammond 1551V11BK 45mm Round Vented ABS Sensor Enclosure, Black

The 1551V11BK is a round, vented snap-fit miniature enclosure moulded in black ABS plastic, with a round 45 mm diameter body, 20 mm (0.79 in) deep. Part of the 1551SNAP family for IoT and general-purpose projects, its vents keep hands and tools off the circuitry while allowing air and moisture in for devices that must sense their surroundings. It is a compact housing for a small printed circuit board at a wall-mounted sensing point.

Overall size is 1.77 in x 1.77 in x 0.79 in (45 mm x 45 mm x 20 mm). Inside, four PC board standoffs are moulded into the base and accept #2 self-tapping screws; the maximum board size is 39 mm x 39 mm (board not supplied). Screws are not included; Hammond specifies #2 x 3/16" (4.8 mm) Plastite self-tapping screws, part number 1553WTS100 (pack of 100), with a recommended torque of (21-28) Ozf.in / (15-20) cN.m.

The purchased assembly is a snap-together base and cover, so no hardware is needed to close it and it can be reopened repeatedly for service. Slots in the base allow wall mounting, and a knockout in the base can be removed with a screwdriver to create a cable entry.

The material carries a UL94 HB flame rating, the enclosure is designed to meet IP30, and the part is listed as RoHS and REACH compliant.
