Hammond 1551SNAP13BK 80 mm Round Black ABS Snap-Fit Enclosure

The 1551SNAP13BK is the largest round size in the unvented 1551SNAP range: an 80 mm diameter, 20 mm deep enclosure in black ABS plastic. It houses a PC board up to 73.5 x 73.5 mm for IoT devices, sensors and general purpose electronics that call for a round, wall-mounted housing.

The material carries a UL94 HB flame rating and the enclosure is designed to meet IP30. Base and cover snap together without hardware and can be reopened repeatedly.

Overall size is listed as 3.15 in x 3.15 in x 0.79 in (80 mm x 80 mm x 20 mm), with a drawing height of 20.30 mm [.80 in] for the assembled enclosure. Four PC board standoffs are molded into the interior and accept #2 self tapping screws; Hammond recommends #2 x 3/16" self tapping screws, sold separately as 1553WTS100 (pack of 100), tightened to a recommended torque of (21-28) ozf.in / (15-20) cN.m. Shipping weight is 0.08 lbs (0.04 kg).

The part is RoHS and REACH compliant. The same size is also offered as the vented 1551V13BK. Hammond notes that some chemicals, including acetone, ketones, thread locking compounds and cutting fluids, can damage ABS plastic, so check compatibility before cleaning or modifying the enclosure.
