The 1551PGY is a light gray (RAL 7035) ABS miniature enclosure in a square 40 x 40 x 20 mm format. It is intended for mounting small printed circuit boards or for use as a potting box, in a neutral colour that suits instruments and control gear.

- Inside: 34.72 x 34.72 mm, 16.00 mm high
- Maximum P.C. board: 34 x 34 mm

General purpose ABS plastic with a UL94 HB flame rating forms the box and lid. A lap joint between them protects against access of dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.
PC board standoffs are molded in and take #2 x 3/16 in self-tapping screws (not included; see 1551ATS100). The lid fastens with the 2 supplied #4 x 1/2 in self-tapping screws, nickel plated to suit grey enclosures, at 35-43 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m). Replacement nickel plated screws are part 1591TS100.
The 1551PGY is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships bagged at 0.04 lbs (0.02 kg), and is also made in black (1551PBK) and translucent blue (1551PTBU).
