Hammond 1551KFLGY 80x40x20mm Gray ABS Enclosure, Flanged Lid

The 1551KFLGY is a light gray ABS plastic miniature enclosure from the 1551 series with mounting flanges molded into the lid. The box body is 80 x 40 x 20 mm (3.15 in x 1.58 in x 0.79 in) not including the flanges, and 96.30 mm [3.79 in] long overall across the flanges. The flanged lid makes it suitable for wall mounting or for suspending with a tie wrap, so it suits OEM engineers and installers housing a small circuit board or sensor.

The enclosure is molded from general purpose ABS plastic with 2 mm (0.08") walls and carries a UL94 HB flame rating. Colour is light gray (RAL 7035), and the self-tapping lid screws are colour matched: nickel plated screws are supplied with this light gray version. Lap joint construction between box and lid protects against access of dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.

The 80 x 40 mm footprint gives the largest interior of these sizes, 74.73 mm by 34.73 mm inside with 16.00 mm of height, for boards up to 74 mm by 34 mm. Inside dimensions are 74.73 mm [2.94 in] long, 34.73 mm [1.37 in] wide and 16.00 mm [0.63 in] high. PC board mounting bosses are molded into the interior and accept #2 x 3/16" self-tapping screws (not included; part number 1551ATS100, nickel plated, pack of 100).

The 1551KFLGY is supplied as box, lid and 2 cover screws (#4 x 1/2" self-tapping), with a recommended lid screw torque of 35-43 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m). It is RoHS and REACH compliant, packed in a bag, with a shipping weight of 0.05 lbs (0.02 kg). Some chemicals, including acetone, ketones, thread locking compounds and cutting fluids, can damage ABS, so check compatibility before use.
