Hammond 1551HFLBK 60x35x20mm Black ABS Enclosure, Flanged Lid

The 1551HFLBK is a black ABS plastic miniature enclosure from the 1551 series with mounting flanges molded into the lid. The box body is 60 x 35 x 20 mm (2.36 in x 1.38 in x 0.79 in) not including the flanges, and 76.30 mm [3.00 in] long overall across the flanges. The flanged lid makes it suitable for wall mounting or for suspending with a tie wrap, so it suits OEM engineers and installers housing a small circuit board or sensor.

The enclosure is molded from general purpose ABS plastic with 2 mm (0.08") walls and carries a UL94 HB flame rating. Colour is black (RAL 9011), and the self-tapping lid screws are colour matched: black plated screws are supplied with this black version. Lap joint construction between box and lid protects against access of dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.

The 60 mm length adds room over the 50 mm sizes while keeping the same 35 mm width and 20 mm depth, giving a 54.73 mm inside length for boards up to 54 mm by 29 mm. Inside dimensions are 54.73 mm [2.15 in] long, 29.73 mm [1.17 in] wide and 16.00 mm [0.63 in] high. PC board mounting bosses are molded into the interior and accept #2 x 3/16" self-tapping screws (not included; part number 1551ATS100, nickel plated, pack of 100).

The 1551HFLBK is supplied as box, lid and 2 cover screws (#4 x 1/2" self-tapping), with a recommended lid screw torque of 35-43 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m). It is RoHS and REACH compliant, packed in a bag, with a shipping weight of 0.05 lbs (0.02 kg). Some chemicals, including acetone, ketones, thread locking compounds and cutting fluids, can damage ABS, so check compatibility before use.
