Hammond 1550EEGASKET IP66 Eva Foam Lid Gasket Kit, 171×121 mm, 2-Pack

The 1550EEGASKET is a replacement gasket kit for the 171 x 121 mm 1550 enclosures — the 1550E and the 1550F in both natural and black (1550E, 1550EBK, 1550WE, 1550WEBK, 1550F, 1550FBK, 1550WF, 1550WFBK). Each kit includes two pre-formed economical EVA foam gaskets, sold as a pair, for builders and OEMs who need to seal a diecast box against water or replace a worn gasket.

The EVA foam gaskets are rated up to 65°C (149°F) and are designed to meet IP66 when properly installed with the lid screws torqued at 55 cN.m. Without a gasket the 1550 enclosures are designed to meet IP54, so this kit is the step up for wet locations; for IP67 or a wider temperature range, the silicone 1550ESGASKET kit is the upgrade.

Adhesive backing makes installation on the lid easy, and the gasket retainer on the 1550 lid gives accurate, steady positioning of the seal. The enclosure lid is held by M3.5 x 0.6 x 12 mm stainless steel screws, which should be torqued to 55 cN.m to achieve the IP66 rating.
