Hammond 1532H 100 uH Iron-Core RF Hash Choke, 400 mA

The 1532H is an R.F. and hash choke from the 1531-1535 Series with 100 uH of inductance (+/- 10%) on an iron core and a maximum DC current of 400 mA. It is aimed at designers and repair technicians who need a single-layer solenoid choke to block RF or suppress hash noise on a DC or signal line.

The 1532H is the 100 uH member of the table, with the highest listed minimum Q (107, tested at 0.79 MHz), a 12 MHz minimum self-resonant frequency, 3 ohm maximum DC resistance and a 400 mA DC rating.

Electrically, the 1532H is specified with a minimum Q of 107 at a test frequency of 0.79 MHz, a self-resonant minimum frequency of 12 MHz and a maximum DC resistance of 3 ohms. The coil is wound as a solenoid (single coil) winding, which the series uses to keep distributed capacity low.

The coil diameter is 0.29 in (7 mm) and the core length is 0.88 in (22 mm). Series-wide, all models are impregnated with a moisture and fungus resistant varnish, include a vinyl insulation covering, have a lead length of 1.5 in (+/- 0.13 in) and are rated for an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
