Hammond 1495D35 6" Square Floor Mount Pedestal Column, Steel

The 1495D35 is a 6 in x 6 in steel pedestal column from the 1495 Pedestal and Base Series. It is used for floor mounting many types of enclosures, consolets or pushbutton boxes, raising the equipment to a working height on its own stand. The 6 in square section is the larger of the two columns in the series, giving more room inside the column for wiring, with a 24 lb shipping weight.

The column is formed from 14 gauge steel with 10 gauge flanges and is finished in ANSI 61 gray. Wiring can be routed up through the column, and an access opening with a gasketed cover makes it possible to pull and connect conductors part way up. Each column includes flange gaskets and a box connector.

The series ordering table lists the 1495D35 at 36.00 in (914 mm) high, 6.00 in (152 mm) wide and 6.00 in (152 mm) deep, while the manufacturer description gives it as 6" x 6" x 35". The part drawing shows an overall height of 35.00 in, a 7.63 in x 7.63 in flange, a 4.75 in x 6.00 in access opening and mounting holes of 0.28 in diameter.

The assembly meets NEMA Type 12 and 13 requirements and the part is REACH and RoHS compliant. To complete a free-standing stand, pair the column with one of the series pedestal bases, the 18 in x 18 in 1495XK or 24 in x 24 in 1495XN. It ships boxed at 24 lbs (10.89 kg).
