The 1487EREDSS is a 304 stainless steel reducer for NEMA 4X (N4X) wireway that steps an 8 x 8 run down one size to 6 x 6. Its edge-hole design positions the smaller opening toward one side of the plate, so the 6 x 6 run can follow a side of the 8 x 8 duct. It is intended for electricians, panel builders and OEMs installing stainless wireway.
The series ordering table lists a height and width of 9.62 in (244 mm), while the manufacturer drawing shows the plate at 9.63 in square. Also from the drawing: a 5.85 in square reducing opening, 0.28 in diameter mounting holes and PEM FH-0420-12 (ZI) fasteners installed.
