Hammond 1486D48 48-Inch 6x6 Type 4/12 Wiring Trough, Gray Steel

The 1486D48 is a four-foot, 48.00 in (1219 mm) section of 1486 Series wiring trough with a 6.00 in (152 mm) height and depth. It suits longer junction runs on machines and plant walls where multiple wiring junctions must be enclosed and protected from dirt, dust, oil and water.

The trough is formed of 14 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams and an ANSI 61 gray powder coating on trough and cover. A butt hinged cover closes with easily operated stainless steel screw clamps, sealing on permanently secured, oil resistant gaskets.

The part drawing lists a 47.21 in top opening, a 5.21 in side opening and a 48.38 in x 6.38 in door with 47.25 in x 5.25 in of clear space available on the door. In the back view, the 0.31 in mounting holes are spaced 46.75 in lengthwise and 6.69 in across.

The 12 gauge external mounting feet are welded to the back, bringing the overall width to 7.50 in. Shipping weight is 29 lbs (13.15 kg), and the trough is packed in a box.

Ratings for the 1486D48 include UL 870 Type 1, 12, 4 (UL File E186830), CSA Type 1, 12, 4 (Cert. LL21312), and compliance with NEMA Type 12, 4 and IEC 60529 IP66. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
