Hammond 1485D48 48 in NEMA 12 Wireway Section, 6x6 Lay-In

The 1485D48 is a four-foot (48") straight section of 6 x 6 NEMA 12 lay-in wireway. Part of the 1485 S Series, it is fabricated in steel and finished in gray, and is intended for enclosed wiring runs in machine building and general plant wiring.

Its size is 6 in x 6 in x 48 in (152 mm x 152 mm x 1,219 mm). The manufacturer drawing details a 48.00 in section length, a 46.47 in x 6.61 in door with gasket installed, a 6.00 in body and 7.63 in width including flanges. Inside, 5.86 in x 5.86 in of clear space is available for conductors. The end opening measures 4.75 in and the back view shows a 47.75 in opening.

For fastening, the drawing specifies 0.28 in mounting holes; the bottom view spacing is 3.00 / 14.00 / 14.00 / 14.00 / 3.00 in. The flange is 0.84 in. Each section is supplied with 1 flat sealing plate.
