Hammond 1485D12 12 in Straight Section, 6x6 N12 Lay-In Wireway

The 1485D12 is a 12" straight section of NEMA 12 lay-in wireway with a 6 x 6 cross-section, made in steel with a gray finish. It is part of the 1485 S Series of typical straight sections and suits panel builders, machine builders and electrical contractors who need a short, enclosed run to carry and protect wiring between control panels, machines and plant equipment.

Nominal size is 6 in x 6 in x 12 in (152 mm x 152 mm x 305 mm). The manufacturer drawing shows a 12.00 in section with a 10.47 in by 6.61 in door that has its gasket installed, a 6.00 in body, 7.63 in overall across the flanges and 5.86 in x 5.86 in of inside clear space available for conductors. End openings measure 4.75 in and the back view opening is 11.75 in.

For installation, the drawing calls out 0.28 in mounting holes, with the bottom view showing 3.00 / 6.00 / 3.00 in spacing, and a 0.84 in flange. One flat sealing plate is supplied with the section, so a run can be closed off at its end.
