Hammond 1481WN43523 35" x 23" Steel Enclosure Window Kit, Type 4

The 1481WN43523 is a mild steel window kit that adds a 35.00 in x 23.00 in (889 mm x 584 mm) viewing area to an enclosure door or cover. It is part of the 1481WN4 Series of mild steel and stainless steel window kits and is intended for panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers who need to see inside an enclosure while keeping it closed and sealed. With a 35.00 in by 23.00 in viewing area, this is the largest steel kit in the 1481WN4 table and there is no stainless steel equivalent listed at this size.

The window itself is 0.25 in thick UV resistant polycarbonate. It is held in a heavy gauge steel frame with integral weld studs and compression clips, and an oil resistant neoprene gasket provides a watertight seal between the kit and the enclosure surface. The steel frame is finished in ANSI 61 gray recoatable powder.

To install, cut an opening of 36.69 in x 24.69 in (932 mm x 627 mm), the recommended cut-out size for this part, then mount the kit over the opening. The kit ships in a box with a shipping weight of 24 lbs (10.89 kg).

The 1481WN43523 is listed as UL/CSA Type 12 and Type 4 (UL File E65324, CSA Certificate LL21312), allowing it to maintain the Type 4 environmental protection level of the enclosure it is fitted to. It is also REACH and RoHS compliant.
