Hammond 1481WN41308 13" x 8" Steel Enclosure Window Kit, Type 4

The 1481WN41308 is a mild steel window kit that adds a 13.00 in x 8.00 in (330 mm x 203 mm) viewing area to an enclosure door or cover. It is part of the 1481WN4 Series of mild steel and stainless steel window kits and is intended for panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers who need to see inside an enclosure while keeping it closed and sealed. The 13.00 in by 8.00 in window shares its 13 in width with the narrow 13 x 3 kit but increases the window height to 8.00 in.

The window itself is 0.25 in thick UV resistant polycarbonate. It is held in a heavy gauge steel frame with integral weld studs and compression clips, and an oil resistant neoprene gasket provides a watertight seal between the kit and the enclosure surface. The steel frame is finished in ANSI 61 gray recoatable powder.

To install, cut an opening of 14.69 in x 9.69 in (373 mm x 246 mm), the recommended cut-out size for this part, then mount the kit over the opening. The kit ships in a box with a shipping weight of 4 lbs (1.81 kg).

The 1481WN41308 is listed as UL/CSA Type 12 and Type 4 (UL File E65324, CSA Certificate LL21312), allowing it to maintain the Type 4 environmental protection level of the enclosure it is fitted to. It is also REACH and RoHS compliant.
