Hammond 1481WDH3024 24 x 15 Deep Hinged Window Kit, Gray Steel Type 4

The 1481WDH3024 is a deep hinged window kit in painted steel with a 24.00 x 14.75 in (610 x 375 mm) viewing area, one of the larger windows in the 1481WDH range. Extra deep kits like this one are designed to provide protection and easy access to components and equipment installed inside an enclosure, giving panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers 2.5 inches of extra usable depth behind the window.

The frame is 14 gauge mild steel finished in ANSI 61 gray recoatable powder, and the window is 0.25 in thick UV resistant polycarbonate. An oil resistant neoprene gasket ensures a watertight seal, so the kit maintains the environmental protection level of the enclosure: painted mild steel versions maintain Type 4 and 12, and this part is listed as UL/CSA Type 12 and Type 4.

Overall dimensions are 28.19 in (716 mm) by 20.14 in (512 mm), with the part page giving a size of 28.2 in x 20.2 in x 2.75 in (716 mm x 513 mm x 70 mm) (H x W x D). The portrait (taller than wide) viewing area measures 24.00 x 14.75 in, and the maximum cut-out size is 25.19 x 17.14 in (640 x 435 mm). Shipping weight is 15 lbs (6.80 kg). This size uses two quarter turn latches for easy access, and the hinges can be oriented in any direction.
