Hammond 1481SSDH2416 22.2 x 12.2 Deep Hinged Solid Door Kit, 316 Stainless

The 1481SSDH2416 is a 1481SDH Series deep hinged HMI cover kit with a solid door, built in 316L stainless steel with a natural brushed finish. It adds a hinged, gasketed access door over a cut-out in an enclosure wall or door, giving OEM builders and panel shops a way to protect HMIs, controls and other equipment mounted inside the enclosure while keeping them easy to reach. Hammond lists it as an N4X deep hinged solid door kit.

Because it is stainless, this kit maintains the Type 4, 4X and 12 protection level of the enclosure it is fitted to, so it can be used on enclosures where a Type 4X rating must be preserved. The painted mild steel equivalent is 1481SDH2416.

Overall dimensions are 22.19 in H x 12.14 in W (564 x 308 mm), with a listed size of 22.2 in x 12.2 in x 2.75 in (564 mm x 310 mm x 70 mm). The kit accepts a maximum enclosure cut-out of 19.19 x 9.14 in (487 x 232 mm) and provides 2.5 inches of extra usable depth for the components and equipment behind the door. Shipping weight is 14 lbs (6.35 kg).

Access is through a single quarter-turn latch, and an oil resistant neoprene gasket ensures a watertight seal. The hinges can be oriented in any direction, and mounting hardware and a template are included. The kit is sized to mount on any enclosure with a suitable mounting surface. It carries UL File E65324 and CSA certificate LL21312, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
