Hammond 1481SDH1612 14.2 x 8.2 Deep Hinged Solid Door Kit, Gray Steel

The 1481SDH1612 is a 1481SDH Series deep hinged HMI cover kit with a solid door, built from 14 gauge mild steel and finished in ANSI 61 gray recoatable powder. It adds a hinged, gasketed access door over a cut-out in an enclosure, giving OEM builders and panel shops a way to protect HMIs, controls and other equipment mounted inside while keeping them easy to reach. Hammond lists it as an N4 deep hinged solid door kit.

The painted mild steel kit maintains the Type 4 and 12 environmental protection level of the enclosure. If you need Type 4X corrosion resistance at the same size, the 316 stainless steel equivalent is 1481SSDH1612.

Overall dimensions are 14.19 in H x 8.14 in W (360 x 207 mm), with a listed size of 14.2 in x 8.2 in x 2.75 in (361 mm x 208 mm x 70 mm). The kit accepts a maximum enclosure cut-out of 11.19 x 5.14 in (284 x 131 mm) and provides 2.5 inches of extra usable depth for the components and equipment behind the door. Shipping weight is 8 lbs (3.63 kg).

Access is through a single quarter-turn latch, and an oil resistant neoprene gasket ensures a watertight seal. The hinges can be oriented in any direction, and mounting hardware and a template are included. The kit is sized to mount on any enclosure with a suitable mounting surface. It carries UL File E65324 and CSA certificate LL21312, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
