The 1471C24 is a 24 in wide Type 12 console cabinet from the 1471 Series, with a sloped front and continuously hinged cover. It is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments, and its sloping front control panel gives operators an angled surface for mounting controls or instrumentation. Heavy-duty construction provides protection from dirt, dust, oil and water.
The cabinet is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The sloped instrument panel is continuously hinged on its front (bottom) edge and secured with captive panel screws threaded into sealed wells. The door is secured with a three point latch operated by a key locking automotive type handle, and both door and instrument panel can be removed by pulling the hinge pin. Oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and powder coated ANSI 61 gray inside and out.
Per the ordering table, the enclosure is 32.00 in (813 mm) at H1 and 48.00 in (1219 mm) at H2, 24.00 in (610 mm) wide and 18.00 in (457 mm) deep. Three removable 12 gauge inner panels, finished in white, mount on collar studs at the back and sides; the listed panel size is 27.00 in by 17.00 in (686 mm x 432 mm). A bonding stud, a grounding stud for the door and a literature pocket are included.
The series is rated UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP54. The 1471C24 is covered by UL file E65324 and CSA certificate LR21001, is REACH and RoHS compliant, and ships on a skid at 165 lbs (74.84 kg).
