  • Open two-hole horizontal bracket for chassis mounting
  • Insulated, color-coded flexible leads, 4 in minimum length
  • Overall 1.63 x 0.88 x 0.81 in (A x B x C), D 1.38 in; net weight 1.4 oz
  • RoHS and REACH compliant

The 145G is an open-frame audio driver transformer that couples a 2000 ohm primary to a 200 ohm center-tapped secondary, built on a two-hole horizontal bracket for mounting to a chassis. It belongs to the 143-146 Series of audio chassis-mount transformers and is intended for engineers, technicians and OEM builders who need a signal-level driver transformer between amplifier stages.

Electrically, it is rated for 135 mW output. It shares its 2000 ohm primary and 12 mA primary D.C. current rating with the 145H; the difference is the secondary, which here is 200 ohms ct with a D.C. resistance of 9 ohms, against a primary D.C. resistance of 140 ohms (both +/- 15%). The series specification sheet gives a frequency response of 150 Hz to 15 kHz (+/- 1 dB, reference 1000 Hz). When it operates at impedances below nominal, power capability and the frequency spectrum are proportionately lower; at higher impedances they are proportionately higher.

Construction is small, economical and open, with a two-hole horizontal mounting bracket. Leads are insulated, color-coded and flexible, at least 4 in long for the 145 Series. Overall dimensions from the series table are A 1.63 in (41 mm), B 0.88 in (22 mm), C 0.81 in (21 mm) and D 1.38 in (35 mm), and the series sheet gives a net weight of 1.4 oz for 145 Series parts.

The 145G is listed as RoHS compliant and REACH compliant. For a similar transformer designed for PC board mounting, the manufacturer refers to the 148 and 149 series.

Ideal For

  • Driver-stage coupling in audio amplifier circuits
  • Signal-level audio impedance matching
  • Chassis-mounted audio equipment builds
  • Repair and replacement of small driver transformers

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the 145G differ from the 145H?▾

Both have a 2000 ohm primary and a 12 mA primary D.C. current rating. The 145G has a 200 ohm ct secondary (9 ohm D.C. resistance); the 145H has a 500 ohm ct secondary (17 ohm D.C. resistance).

What is the frequency response of the 145G?▾

The 143-146 series sheet specifies 150 Hz to 15 kHz, +/- 1 dB, referenced to 1000 Hz.

How is the 145G mounted?▾

It is an open-type transformer on a two-hole horizontal bracket for chassis mounting. For a PC board mount version, the manufacturer refers to the 148 and 149 series.

What are the dimensions of the 145G?▾

Overall dimensions are A 1.63 in (41 mm), B 0.88 in (22 mm), C 0.81 in (21 mm) and D 1.38 in (35 mm).

Is the 145G RoHS compliant?▾

Yes. The manufacturer lists it as both RoHS compliant and REACH compliant.
