The 1457U1602 is a flanged, wall-mountable PC board enclosure in the 1457 watertight series. Its extruded aluminum body measures 6.3 in x 7.52 in x 2.68 in (160 mm x 191 mm x 68 mm), the largest cross-section among the 1457 profiles, and it is designed to meet IP65, so integrators can mount sizable electronics in wet or dirty locations.
The one-piece extrusion has a minimum thickness of 0.06" (1.5 mm) and a clear anodized finish. Two diecast aluminum end panels with integrated flanges are painted in durable black satin powder paint and seal with full perimeter self-adhesive gaskets.
The drawing shows 191.93 mm (7.556 in) overall length across the flanges and 171.15 mm across the end panels, with 160.00 ± 0.50 mm inside face to face, 186.50 ± 0.75 mm inside width and 61.50 ± 0.60 mm inside height. Boards up to 159 mm x 185 mm (part page) slide horizontally into the extruded slots; the drawing notes it fits a 160 mm x 186 mm PCB.
Included are two closed-cell polyethylene foam end plate gaskets and stainless steel assembly hardware with rubber o-ring and adhesive rubber feet. Thread forming screws are black zinc plated to ASTM B633-13 (Type II, SC3); recommended torque is 5 lbf/in.
