The 1457N1201 is a watertight extruded aluminum enclosure from the 1457 Series, built for OEM engineers and integrators who need to house a PC board or interface equipment in a sealed, heavy-duty box. It measures 4.73 in x 4.09 in x 2.15 in (120 mm x 104 mm x 55 mm) and is designed to meet IP65.
The body is one piece of extruded aluminum 6063 with a minimum thickness of 0.06" (1.5 mm), supplied in a clear anodized finish and closed with black powder painted end panels. The end panels are Type 380 diecast aluminum, rugged yet easy to machine for connectors and switches, and seal with full perimeter self-adhesive gaskets.
Circuit boards mount horizontally by sliding into internal slots extruded into the body. The part page lists a maximum board size of 119 mm x 99 mm, and the drawing notes that it fits a 120 mm (4.724") x 100 mm (3.937") PCB. The inside face-to-face length is 120.00 mm and the overall length with end panels is 132.15 mm.
This version uses flat end panels without mounting flanges, so it suits bench, desktop or in-equipment use. The purchased assembly includes the box, end panels, #6 Taptight screws with O-rings, self-adhesive rubber feet and gaskets. A 0.75 mm (0.030") deep recess on the body takes a label or membrane keypad.
