The 1457KEG-10 is a pack of ten EMI/RFI replacement gaskets for Hammond 1457-EMI series enclosures whose part numbers begin with 1457K. The gaskets sit between the extruded aluminum body and the die-cast end panel, and a spare pack lets service technicians and OEM builders re-seal enclosures after panels have been removed for machining or maintenance.
In the 1457-EMI design the end panel gaskets are full-perimeter conductive foam/fabric made of Ni/Cu (nickel/copper) with CPSA (conductive pressure sensitive adhesive) on each end panel. The series ordering table lists these as the EMI gaskets for 1457K enclosures; the water-tight alternative is 1457KPG-10.
According to the drawing, each gasket measures 84.00 mm [3.307 in] wide by 44.11 mm [1.737 in] high and 1.57 mm [0.062 in] thick, with 4 x R4.00 mm [0.157 in] corner radii. Four 2.50 mm [0.098 in] diameter holes are spaced 76.02 mm [2.993 in] horizontally and 34.64 mm [1.364 in] vertically.
