Hammond 1456WL3BKBU 20x11.3 in 15° Sloped Console, Black Top, Blue Case

The 1456WL3BKBU is a 15-degree sloped aluminum console with a black top panel on a textured blue case. At 20.00 in (508 mm) wide it shares the widest footprint in the 1456 range, with an 11.30 in (287 mm) depth, a 3.00 in (76 mm) rear height and a 1.30 in (33 mm) front height, giving OEM engineers and instrument builders a broad, angled face for meters, switches and displays.

Both the case and the top are 12 gauge (0.081 in) aluminum, the heavier gauge Hammond uses for 1456 top panels wider than 14 in. The case carries vents on the rear and bottom, and the enclosure is rated IP31. The black top contrasts with the blue base, a combination listed in the series as the Black Top w/ Blue Case column.

The console is sold pre-assembled: the purchased assembly includes the case, cover, 6 cover screws and 4 rubber feet. Hammond recommends a cover screw torque of 150-175 cN-m (13.3-15.5 lbf-in). Replacement screws are 1421J6 (natural finish) or 1421J6BK (black), both 6-32 x 1/4 in self-tapping in packs of 6, and spare self-adhesive 0.5 x 0.5 in rubber feet come as 1421T3 (pack of 24).

Hammond notes the enclosure can be factory modified with milling, drilling or printing, and solid models are available in STEP or IGES for panel layout work. The 1456WL3BKBU ships in shrink wrap at 5.38 lbs (2.44 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
