The 1456FE2BKBU is a 15-degree sloped aluminum console from the 1456 Series with a black top panel and a textured blue case. It is a 6.50 in wide, 5.50 in deep console with a 15-degree slope, 1.10 in high at the front and 2.00 in at the rear. The wider 6.50 in top gives space for more switches, knobs or a display than the 4 in models while keeping a low 2.00 in rear height.

The case is made from 12 gauge aluminum (0.081 in, 2 mm) and the top from 14 gauge aluminum (0.064 in). The unit is sold pre-assembled, and the purchased assembly includes the case, cover, 4 cover screws and 4 rubber feet, so it arrives with the required mounting hardware and self-adhesive rubber feet. The recommended cover screw torque is 150-175 cN-m (13.3-15.5 lbf-in).
