Hammond 1455P2202 220x125x30.5mm Clear Aluminum Enclosure, Plastic Ends

The 1455P2202 pairs a 220 mm clear anodized extruded aluminum body with two closed black plastic end panels. Measuring 8.66 in x 4.92 in x 1.22 in (220 mm x 125 mm x 31 mm), it is a 1455 Series PC board enclosure for designers housing longer boards, up to 219 mm, in a slim 30.5 mm profile.

The body is extruded from 6063 aluminum with a minimum wall thickness of 0.06" (1.5 mm). PC boards mount horizontally by sliding into slots extruded into the enclosure body; the extrusion is designed for a 120 mm wide PC board, and this size accepts a board up to 219 mm long and 119.5 mm wide. A removable sliding plate is included, and the enclosure carries an IP54 rating.

The purchased assembly includes the box, two closed black plastic end panels made from ABS, #6 Taptight screws and self-adhesive rubber feet. The series specifies #6 x 3/8" thread rolling steel screws with a #4 flat head Phillips drive at a recommended torque of 5 lbf-in; clear anodized versions use natural screws.
