Hammond 1455P1601BU 160x125x30.5mm Blue Aluminum Enclosure, Metal Ends

The 1455P1601BU is a blue anodized extruded aluminum PC board enclosure from the 1455 Series, sized at 160 x 125 x 30.5 mm (6.3 in x 4.92 in x 1.22 in). It is built for engineers and integrators who need a rugged, compact housing for circuit boards or equipment interfacing, and its blue anodize finish makes it easy to colour-code units in a product line or on a bench.

The body is extruded from 6063 aluminum with a minimum wall thickness of 0.06" (1.5 mm). PC boards mount horizontally by sliding into slots extruded into the enclosure body; the extrusion is designed for a 120 mm wide PC board, and this size accepts a board up to 159 mm long and 119.5 mm wide. A removable sliding plate is included, and the enclosure carries an IP54 rating.

Each 1455P1601 version ships as a complete enclosure with two flat aluminum end panels colour-matched to the blue housing, plus two open black plastic bezels. The bezels are polycarbonate. Assembly uses #6 x 3/8" thread rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head Phillips drive; this blue version includes black screws, with a recommended torque of 5 lbf-in. Four adhesive rubber feet are also included. Optional flanged end panels (1455PF) are shown on the part drawing.
