Hammond 1455K1201BU 120x78x43mm Blue Aluminum Enclosure, Metal Ends

The 1455K1201BU is a blue anodized extruded aluminum PC board enclosure with metal end panels, sized 120 x 78 x 43 mm. It is designed to house PC boards or for equipment interfacing, and suits OEM engineers and integrators who want a colour-coded aluminum housing for a compact circuit board.

The body is extruded aluminum with a minimum thickness of 0.06 in (1.5 mm), finished in blue anodized aluminum. It measures 4.72 in x 3.07 in x 1.69 in (120 mm x 78 mm x 43 mm), with the drawing showing a 120.00 ±0.50 mm length, 78.00 mm extrusion width and 43.02 mm height. Printed circuit boards up to 119 mm long and 74 mm wide mount horizontally by sliding into internal slots extruded into the body, and the enclosure includes a removable sliding plate.

Each enclosure includes two flat aluminum end panels, color matched to the housing, and two open black plastic bezels, four adhesive rubber feet and #6 x 3/8 in thread rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head phillips drive in a black finish. Tighten end panel screws to the recommended 5 lbf-in. Replacement feet are 1421T2CL (pack of 24) and replacement screws are 1455MS100BK (quantity 100).

The enclosure carries an IP54 rating and is RoHS and REACH compliant. It ships in shrink wrap at 0.43 lbs (0.20 kg). For surface mounting, optional 1455KF flange end panels are shown on the drawing, and extra blue end panels are available as 1455KALBU-10. The factory can modify enclosures (milling, drilling, printing), and solid models are available in STEP or IGES.
