Hammond 1455JF1601BK 160x78x27mm Black Anodized Flanged Aluminum Enclosure

The 1455JF1601BK is a black anodized extruded aluminum PC board enclosure with integrated slotted mounting flanges, and the 160 mm long member of the 78 mm wide 1455F family. It is built for OEM engineers, electronics designers and integrators who need a compact, IP54-rated housing with its own wall-mounting flanges. It carries PC boards up to 159 mm x 75 mm in a 27 mm deep profile, 40 mm longer than the 120 mm model (1455JF1201) with the same cross-section and 98 mm flange width.

The body is extruded aluminum with a minimum wall thickness of 0.06" (1.5 mm), finished in black anodized. The flanges are part of the extrusion: they give the enclosure a completely flat bottom surface and transition seamlessly into the body, and their slots allow for easy wall mounting. PC boards slide into internal slots extruded into the enclosure body; the drawing notes the extrusion is designed for a 75 mm wide PC board.

Nominal size is 6.3 in x 3.06 in x 1.11 in (160 mm x 78 mm x 28 mm). The series ordering table gives a length of 160 mm, an enclosure width of 78 mm, a total width with flanges of 98 mm and a total outside depth of 27 mm. Maximum PC board size is 159 mm long by 75 mm wide, and shipping weight is 0.44 lbs (0.20 kg).

Each 1455JF1601BK includes the extruded body, two aluminum end panels and all hardware: zinc-plated #6 x 3/8" TTT thread rolling steel screws with a #4 flat head Phillips drive, supplied in black to match the housing. Recommended screw torque is 5 lbf-in. Replacement end panels come in 10-packs: 1455JAL-10 (clear), 1455JALBK-10 (black), 1455JALBU-10 (blue), 1455JALRD-10 (red). The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing); solid models are available in STEP or IGES. The clear anodized version is 1455JF1601.
