The 1455J802BK is a black anodized extruded aluminum enclosure measuring 3.15 in x 3.07 in x 1.06 in (80 mm x 78 mm x 27 mm), supplied with plastic end panels. It is designed to house PC boards or for equipment interfacing, making it a fit for electronics designers, OEM engineers and technicians packaging a small circuit board, sensor interface or control module.
The body is extruded aluminum with a minimum wall thickness of 0.06" (1.5 mm). PC boards mount horizontally by sliding into internal slots extruded into the enclosure body; the drawing notes that the extrusion is designed for a 75 mm wide PC board. This size is listed in the 1455 series table of enclosures with a removable sliding plate.
As a plastic end plate version, the 1455J802BK includes two closed end panels in black, plus four adhesive rubber feet and #6 x 3/8" thread rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head Phillips drive in black finish. Recommended screw torque is 5 lbf-in; replacement screws are 1455MS100BK (quantity 100) and replacement feet are 1421T2CL (pack of 24).
