Hammond 1455D601 60mm Clear Anodized Aluminum PCB Enclosure, Metal Ends

The 1455D601 is a 60 mm long extruded aluminum PC board enclosure in a clear anodized finish, supplied with metal end panels. With a nominal size of 2.36 in x 1.76 in x 0.99 in (60 mm x 45 mm x 25 mm) and an IP54 rating, it is aimed at electronics designers, OEM engineers and integrators who need a small, rugged housing for a circuit board or an equipment interface module.

The profile is extruded aluminum measuring 42.50 mm x 23.00 mm, with an internal opening of 39.50 ± 0.37 mm by 20.00 ± 0.42 mm. PC boards mount horizontally by sliding into slots extruded into the body; this extrusion is designed for a 39 mm wide board, and the maximum PC board size is 59 mm long by 38.5 mm wide. With the end panels and bezels fitted, the drawing shows overall end dimensions of 44.62 mm x 25.12 mm and a body length of 60.00 ± 0.50 mm. This size is one of the series' enclosures without a sliding plate.

In the box: the extruded body, two flat aluminum end panels colour matched to the clear housing (1.63 mm thick, each with two 0.165 in holes countersunk 0.230 in x 82°), two open black plastic bezels, four adhesive rubber feet, and #6 x 3/8" thread-rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head Phillips drive. The clear anodize leaves the natural aluminum look and is matched by natural-finish end panel screws. Tighten the screws to the recommended 5 lbf-in.

Spares are easy to source: 1455DAL-10 provides ten matching aluminum end panels, 1455DBBK supplies open bezels, 1421T2CL replaces the rubber feet (pack of 24) and 1455MS100 (natural, quantity 100) replaces the screws. The 1455D601 ships shrink wrapped at 0.11 lbs (0.05 kg), is RoHS and REACH compliant, and can be factory modified by milling, drilling or printing, with STEP or IGES solid models available.
