Hammond 1455CS802BK 80mm Black Square Aluminum Enclosure, Closed Bezels

The 1455CS802BK is a compact, square-profile extruded aluminum enclosure in a black anodized finish, built to house PC boards or to package equipment interfacing. It measures 80 mm x 54 mm x 54 mm (3.15 in x 2.13 in x 2.13 in) and is closed at both ends with black plastic closed bezels, making it a tidy choice for OEM engineers and electronics builders who want a fully capped metal housing.

The body is extruded aluminum with a minimum wall thickness of 0.06" (1.5 mm). PC boards mount horizontally by sliding into internal slots extruded into the body; the extrusion is designed for a 50 mm PC board, with an internal opening of 51.00 ± 0.50 mm in both directions. This size belongs to the series' enclosures without a sliding plate.

Each enclosure is supplied with the extruded aluminum body, two closed black plastic end panels, four adhesive rubber feet and #6 x 3/8" thread-rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head Phillips drive (black screws on this black version). The recommended screw torque is 5 lbf-in. Replacement feet are available as 1421T2CL (pack of 24) and replacement screws as 1455MS100BK (black, quantity 100).

With the closed bezels fitted, the drawing shows an overall end dimension of 57.13 mm (2.249 in). The 1455CS802BK is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships at 0.27 lbs (0.12 kg), and can be factory modified with milling, drilling or printing. Solid models are available in STEP or IGES for mechanical design work.
