The 1455C801 is a clear anodized extruded aluminum PC board enclosure with metal (aluminum) end panels, measuring 80 x 54 x 23 mm (3.15 x 2.13 x 0.91 in). It is built for engineers housing a compact board up to 79 mm long and 50 mm wide, or for equipment interfacing where aluminum end panels are preferred over plastic.
The body is extruded aluminum with a minimum wall thickness of 0.06 in (1.5 mm) and a clear anodized finish. PC boards mount horizontally by sliding into internal slots extruded into the enclosure body, and the part carries an IP54 rating.
Per the drawing, overall length is 80.00 ±0.50 mm [3.150 ±0.020 in], with an overall width of 54.00 mm [2.126 in] and height of 23.00 mm [0.906 in]. Maximum PC board size is 79 mm long by 50 mm wide (extrusion designed for 50 mm wide PC board). This version has no sliding plate.
Supplied as a complete enclosure: two flat aluminum end panels color matched to the housing, two open black plastic bezels, four adhesive rubber feet and #6 x 3/8 in thread-rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head Phillips drive (natural screws on this clear version). Recommended screw torque is 5 lbf-in.
Enclosures can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing) and solid models are available in STEP or IGES. Optional flange end panels (1455CF) are referenced on the drawing. The 1455C801 is RoHS and REACH compliant.
