Hammond 1455C1201BU 120x54x23mm Blue Aluminum Enclosure, Metal Ends

The 1455C1201BU is a blue anodized extruded aluminum PC board enclosure with metal (aluminum) end panels, measuring 120 x 54 x 23 mm (4.72 x 2.13 x 0.91 in). The longer 120 mm body accepts a board up to 119 mm long and 50 mm wide, giving OEM designers and hobbyists extra length for connectors and components in the same 54 x 23 mm profile.

The body is extruded aluminum (6063 alloy, per the part drawing) with a minimum wall thickness of 0.06 in (1.5 mm) and a blue anodized finish. PC boards mount horizontally by sliding into internal slots extruded into the enclosure body, and the part carries an IP54 rating. The bezels are made from polycarbonate.

Per the drawing, overall length is 120.00 ±0.50 mm [4.724 ±0.020 in], with an overall width of 54.00 mm [2.126 in] and height of 23.00 mm [0.906 in]. Maximum PC board size is 119 mm long by 50 mm wide (extrusion designed for 50 mm wide PC board). This version has no sliding plate.

Supplied as a complete enclosure: two flat aluminum end panels color matched to the housing, two open black plastic bezels, four adhesive rubber feet and #6 x 3/8 in thread-rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head Phillips drive (black screws on this blue version). Recommended screw torque is 5 lbf-in.

Enclosures can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing) and solid models are available in STEP or IGES. Optional flange end panels (1455CF) are referenced on the drawing. The 1455C1201BU is RoHS and REACH compliant.
