Hammond 1447SQ10HK 48x25.4x10 In Type 4 Disconnect Box, Defeater Handle

The 1447SQ10HK is a Type 4 mild steel wallmount disconnect enclosure from the 1447S HK series, measuring 48 x 25.4 x 10 in (1219 x 645 x 254 mm). It is built for electricians, panel builders and OEM engineers who need a gasketed wallmount housing for a flange-mounted disconnect switch or circuit breaker operating mechanism, and it ships with a pad lock defeater handle mechanism, latching rods and interlock brackets.

Construction is formed 14-gauge steel with continuously welded seams, welded mounting brackets and a formed lip that excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the continuously hinged door, which can be removed by pulling the hinge pin. The cover and enclosure are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coat inside and out, and the removable 12 gauge inner panel is finished in white powder coat.

The 1447SQ10HK is the only 48 in tall, 25.40 in wide size in the HK ordering table, pairing a 45.00 in inner panel with a 10 in body depth for tall, narrow disconnect line-ups. The part drawing shows a door opening of 21.25 x 45.25 in, and the shipping weight is 153 lbs (69.40 kg).

Cutouts and holes are provided to suit flange handle operating mechanisms from ABB Controls, Allen Bradley (1494V and 1494U), C-H Westinghouse (C361/C371), General Electric (Type STDA), Siemens I-T-E (Max-Flex) and Square D (Class 9422). It will not accept Square D Class 9422 bracket-mounted disconnect devices, 9422TG1 or TG2 devices. Disconnects and operating mechanisms are not included and must be ordered separately from their manufacturer.

The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 4, 12 and 13 and complies with NEMA Type 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66; appropriate components are required to maintain these ratings. The part carries UL File E65324 and CSA certificate LR21001 and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
