Hammond 1447SN4SSG8 36x31.38x8 In Type 4X Stainless Disconnect Enclosure

The 1447SN4SSG8 is a Type 4X stainless steel wallmount disconnect enclosure from the 1447S N4 SS series, with a continuous hinge door secured by clamps and a multi-vendor flange cutout. It measures 36 x 31.38 x 8 in (914 x 797 x 203 mm) and suits electricians, panel builders and OEM engineers who need a corrosion-resistant 304 stainless housing for a flange-mounted disconnect switch or circuit breaker operating mechanism.

It is formed from 14 gauge type 304 stainless steel with continuously welded seams. A formed lip on the door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door, and the door is secured with stainless steel clamps. The continuous hinge uses a stainless steel pin that can be pulled to remove the door, and a cover interlock bracket is welded to the door.

The SSG8 size is the widest 8 in deep stainless option in the ordering table at 36 x 31.38 x 8 in, with a 33.00 x 27.00 in inner panel. The drawing shows a door opening of 27.25 x 33.25 in and about 8.10 in of usable depth.

Collar studs carry the included removable 12 gauge inner panel, a bonding stud is provided on the door with a grounding stud in the enclosure, and a literature pocket sits on the inside of the door. Cutouts suit flange-mounted variable depth mechanisms from ABB Controls, Allen Bradley (1494V/1494U), Cutler Hammer (C361/C371), General Electric (Type STDA), Siemens I-T-E (Max-Flex) and Square D (Class 9422); Square D bracket-mounted, 9422TG1 and TG2 devices are not accepted. Disconnects and operating mechanisms are ordered separately.

The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 4X and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, with appropriate components required to maintain these ratings. This part is REACH and RoHS compliant.
