Hammond 1447SN4G8 36x31.38x8 In Type 4 Steel Disconnect Enclosure

The 1447SN4G8 is a Type 4 mild steel wallmount disconnect enclosure from the 1447S N4 series, with a continuous hinge door secured by clamps and a multi-vendor flange cutout. It measures 36 x 31.38 x 8 in (914 x 797 x 203 mm) and is intended for electricians, panel builders and OEM engineers housing a flange-mounted disconnect switch or circuit breaker operating mechanism.

It is formed from 14 gauge steel with continuously welded seams and welded brackets for wall mounting. A formed lip on the door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door, and the door is secured with stainless steel clamps. The continuous hinge uses a stainless steel pin that can be pulled to remove the door, and a cover interlock bracket is welded to the door.

The G8 size is the widest 8 in deep option in the 1447S N4 ordering table, measuring 36 x 31.38 x 8 in with a 33.00 x 27.00 in inner panel. The drawing shows a door opening of 27.21 x 33.22 in and about 8.07 in of usable depth.

Collar studs carry the included removable 12 gauge inner panel, a bonding stud is provided on the door with a grounding stud in the enclosure, and a literature pocket sits on the inside of the door. Cutouts suit flange-mounted variable depth mechanisms from ABB Controls, Allen Bradley (1494V/1494U), C-H Westinghouse (C361/C371), General Electric (Type STDA), Siemens I-T-E (Max-Flex) and Square D (Class 9422); Square D bracket-mounted, 9422TG1 and TG2 devices are not accepted. Disconnects and operating mechanisms are ordered separately.

The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 3R and 4 and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12 and IEC 60529 IP66, with appropriate components required to maintain these ratings. This part carries UL File E65324 and CSA certificate LR21001 and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
